Welcome to my channel! Lately I've been publishing videos about music and mostly German music. In this video, however, I analyze a German sentence and point out some of the morphological and syntactical aspects. Here's the model sentence: Wörter sind in einem schriftlichen Text, wie z.B. diesem Satz, alle Buchstabenfolgen, die durch Zwischenräume voneinander getrennt sind.
In the English translation given here, note that the clauses appear in a different order. Translation: In a written text, such as this sentence, words are all sequences of letters that are separated from one another by a space. Durch = The preposition "through", or in this case "by" as it denotes the agent of the action word "separate". Errata: schriftlich(em) means "written", not spoken. / Genitiv (spelling).

Aaron BurnsI'm an entrepreneurial linguist and musician, a European in a former life, and an indefatigable conversationalist (like June). I'm available for hire as coach, teacher, writer, editor, analyst, consultant, marketeer, content specialist, translator, interpreter, MC, facilitator or performer. This blog is a portfolio of my interest and abilities in various languages of which I have extensive knowledge. I am also a student of several other languages that I am less intimately familiar with and they all bring me great joy. I currently hold degrees in Language and Literature as well as in Vocal Music Performance, both fields in which poetics and interpretation are no strangers. Archives
